Description

These Loaded Taco-Stuffed Cheesy Pockets are a delicious, handheld treat packed with seasoned ground beef, creamy salsa-infused cheese, and melty Cheddar, all wrapped in a crispy tortilla. Perfect for a quick dinner or a fun party snack, these pockets are sure to satisfy your taco cravings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 12 6-inch tortillas

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease, then add the Taco seasoning to the beef and mix well.
  • Prepare Cheese Mix: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the salsa and blend until fully combined.
  • Assemble Pockets: Lay out the tortillas and spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each one. Top with a portion of the seasoned ground beef and a sprinkle of shredded Cheddar cheese.
  • Fold and Bake: Fold the tortillas over the filling to create a pocket, then place them on a baking tray. Brush the tops with melted butter for a golden finish.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the tortillas are crispy and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve: Add your favorite toppings such as sour cream, guacamole, or extra salsa, and enjoy these cheesy, taco-filled pockets!

Notes

  • You can customize the fillings by adding black beans, corn, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
  • These pockets can be made ahead and frozen; just bake them directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
