- 1 loaf (16 oz) French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2 large garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped (plus more for garnish)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Aluminum Non-Stick Foil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the softened butter, 1/4 cup of finely chopped parsley, 1/4 tsp of sea salt, 1/4 tsp of garlic powder, and the finely minced garlic. Mash these ingredients together with a fork.
- In a separate bowl, combine the shredded Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
- Cut the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture on the inside of each bread half.
- Place the bread halves, buttered side down, on a large sheet of Reynolds Wrap® Non-Stick Foil. Fold the foil over to create a packet, sealing the edges.
- Put the foil packet on the grill with the buttered side facing down. Cover the grill with the lid and cook for 5 minutes.
- Carefully open the foil packet. Using tongs, flip the bread halves over and sprinkle the cheese mixture on top. Do not close the foil packet.
- Cover the grill again and continue cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
- Remove the garlic bread from the grill, slice it, garnish with more fresh parsley, and serve it warm. (See notes for baking instructions as an alternative to grilling.)
Notes
- To Bake Garlic Bread: Place the foil packet directly on the oven rack at 350°F (175°C), covered in foil, for 10 minutes. Then, unwrap it, flip the bread over, sprinkle the cut side with cheese, and broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden.
