Notes
-
Ginger Beer Selection: Choose a ginger beer that suits your taste preferences. Some ginger beers are spicier and more intense, while others are milder. Experiment with different brands to find the one you like best.
-
Copper Mugs: Using copper mugs is a classic choice for serving Moscow Mules. The metal helps keep the drink extra cold. However, if you don’t have copper mugs, regular glassware will work just fine.
-
Fresh Blueberries: For the best flavor, use fresh blueberries in both the simple syrup and as a garnish. However, if fresh blueberries are not in season, you can substitute with frozen ones.
-
Adjusting Sweetness: The blueberry simple syrup adds sweetness to the drink. If you prefer a sweeter Moscow Mule, you can increase the amount of blueberry simple syrup used.
-
Muddling: When muddling the blueberries, be gentle to avoid over-mashing them, which can make the drink too pulpy.
-
Customize the Garnish: Get creative with your garnishes. You can add extra fruits, herbs, or citrus slices to enhance the presentation and flavor.
-
Make It Alcohol-Free: If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the vodka and increase the amount of ginger beer. It’s just as delicious!
-
Serving Temperature: Ensure that your Moscow Mules are served well-chilled. You can even chill your copper mugs in the freezer for an extra frosty touch.
